STAGE II BURN BAN

Stage 2 Burn Ban 

A Stage 2 Burn Ban is in effect in the North-West Fire Protection District due to high fire danger. Under this ban, all outdoor burning and open flames are prohibited.

Prohibited Activities

The following activities are not allowed during the Stage 2 Burn Ban:

  • Open fires, campfires, and fire pits
  • Charcoal and wood grilling
  • Burning trash or debris
  • Outdoor smoking
  • Fireworks and explosives
  • Hot work, including welding and grinding
  • Off-roading with ATVs and OHVs
  • Recreational shooting
    • Exception: Approved shooting ranges

Penalties

Violations may result in fines of up to $1,000 per violation.

Limited Exception

Fires are only allowed at approved commercial and USDA Forest Service sites.
